Oh ! Hi there--YUP it's me--Tony !  Oh boy can you guess how happy I am right now?  YOU COULD NEVER GUESS IN A MILLION YEARS!  I used to live in another orphanage, but I didn't really have anyone else to play with and all I ever longed for was to be able to play with some other children.  Well!  Because of
"In His Footsteps" all my dreams have come true and I now live with more than 200 other children.  I am the little handicapped boy that this Irish Charity was trying to get a place for in the Mercy Home and low and behold  here I am!  I came to live here on 6th April this year, 2003.  Hey, but don't let my little innocent looking face fool you
too much !

Like I said, I came to live in this wonderful place on Sunday, 6 April and the next day Bro Louis took me into Dharmapuri to buy some new clothes and this beautiful buggy for me to sit in. I never did have a buggy before and I never had such bright and colourful clothes!!  Anyway, to carry on with what I was saying, a couple of days after I got my new buggy I became really at home altogether and from then on, each time someone had to go to Dharmapuri or Salem for shopping or other stuff, I got cheeky enough to ask them to bring me some sweeties back too !! SEE, I am REALLY at home here and I know that THIS WILL BE MY HOME FOR AS LONG AS I WANT IT TO BE-- WOW!  HOW WONDERFUL TO HAVE A LOVING AND OH SO HAPPY HOME TO LIVE IN!!

Let's see, well I'm 4 years old, that would have made me about 2 and a half when "In His Footsteps" first knew me.  I don't have any arms, except for a little stump where my right arm should have been and my only lower limb is my left leg which doesn't exactly do what I would wish that it did.  I can get about very well on my own mind you--I roll around the floor using my very strong neck muscles and my little stump and I can move as fast as flash lightening when I want to ! Ha Ha! When Maureen, from "In His Footsteps", was visiting me at my previous orphanage, I used to roll very quietly to where she was standing and tap on her ankle with my stump and she would pretend not to notice.  She'd shout out in surprise  "Who's that?" or "Anyone seen Tony?" and I would copy every word that she said in English...Ha Ha !  See, I'm not only handsome, I'm clever too!  Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!  Anyway, I had only been with the Mercy Home a couple of weeks when we all went on a wonderful outing to the sea, and a waterfall and we saw SO MANY WONDERFUL THINGS !(NOW, 2004 AND i'M OFF TO IRELAND FOR NEW ARMS AND A LEG!)         click here
